The challenge

Grab Green is an 8-figure CPG brand selling cleaning products. Its problem is common in consumables: low average order values combined with high customer acquisition costs. When each order is small, paid acquisition struggles to pay back on the first purchase.

The fix had to raise what each customer spent per order.

What we did

  • Tested free-shipping thresholds. We tested where the free-shipping threshold should sit, the lever that most directly changes how much a shopper adds before checking out.
  • Gamified the cart with a progress bar. A progress bar in the cart slider showed shoppers how close they were to the threshold, turning the gap into a small goal.
  • Added bundles and multi-packs. Bundles and multi-packs gave shoppers an easy way to buy more of what they already wanted.
  • Added value badges on larger sizes. Badges and value propositions on larger items showed the deal compared with buying the smaller size.
  • Ran price tests. Price testing found the optimal price points rather than guessing them.

How the program ran

Different brands, different profit levers, same process every time. For Grab Green, as for every client, the work started with research: session recordings, heat maps, analytics, reviews and the questions customers ask. Ideas were ranked by expected business impact, then designed, written and built in-house. Each change was checked by QA before and after launch, and results were read against revenue, order value and margin rather than clicks.

Winners shipped in coordination with the brand’s own team. Losing tests were reported in the same detail as winners, because a program learns as much from what does not work. Andrew Cowan, Parah Group’s founder and a former brand-side CMO, runs every account personally, so the person reading the results is the person deciding what comes next.

The result

Average order value rose 80 percent through bundling. Every number in this case study was published with the client’s permission.

What other brands can take from this

  • In consumables, order value is often the fastest route to profitable acquisition.
  • Thresholds, progress bars and bundles work together; test them as a system.
  • Price is testable. Guessing it leaves money on one side of the table or the other.
